Who would have thought of life at Govt run shelter homes being full of torture, harassment and abuse? This is reality for a lot of children......

Haryana yet again is getting infamously famous for being hotspot of 'Child Servitude'.

Children at Government run shelter homes are full of stories on how they have to go through mental and physical trauma. The Authorities seem to be completely oblivious to this state of thousands of children.

Government accepts negligence in keeping a check on shelter homes but is acceptance enough?

The deities are escorted out of the temple's sanctum sanctorum and taken for a ceremonial bath.

Altogether 108 pitchers of aromatic and herbal water are fetched from Suna kua of the temple. The well remains unused till next year's bathing ceremony. Thereafter the deities are decorated in elephant attire symbolizing the incarnation of Ganesha.

The gods would remain out of bounds for devotees for a fortnight as the deities supposedly fall 'sick' after taking the grand bath. The deities, whose daily rituals are tantamount to the living style of a human being, would undergo treatment by the shrine vaidyas (ayurveda doctors) during this period.

The deities recuperate from 'fever and appear before pilgrims with a rejuvenated look on the occasion of nabajouvan darshan (rejuvenation) the same day.

Since the reigning gods remain inaccessible for 15 days, pilgrims can have darshan of the representative gods of Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra in the temple during this time.
